Gloria James, LeBron James’ mother, finds herself in controversy again after being arrested for simple battery and disorderly conduct in the early morning hours of April 7.

According to a copy of the police report obtained by TMZ, James, 43, allegedly hit a valet at the Fontainebleau Hotel earlier that morning after she felt it took too long for her car to be delivered.

The report said James requested her vehicle from a valet, who quickly brought her vehicle around. The vehicle was left running for 30 minutes according to the report as James spoke to hotel patrons.

The valet removed the keys and returned them to the cashier and that’s apparently when James became infuriated.

The report also said that James reeked of alcohol and had bloodshot eyes when police arrived.

LeBron James commented on the situation at Miami Heat practice on April 7. “It’s a sensitive subject,” the NBA All-Star said according to the Associated Press. “It’s a personal matter. It’s being taken care of.

“You have to move forward. It is my life and there’s certain things you have to deal with. You try not to let it be a distraction. I have a job to do, still.”

In 2006, Gloria James pleaded no contest to DUI and other charges.

After LeBron James’ Cleveland Cavalier team was knocked out of the playoffs last season, rumors circulated that Gloria James was having a romantic relationship with LeBron’s ex-teammate and current Boston Celtic, Delonte West.

There has been no word on whether Gloria James has retained an attorney. She was released to Miami Heat executive Steve Stowe according to NBC Miami.
