BALTIMORE PUBLIC MARKETS ARE MAKING A COMEBACK FROM COVID
Lexington Market now open Thursdays through Saturdays at 50% capacity
BALTIMORE, MD (July 28, 2020) – The Board of Directors of the Baltimore Public Markets announced today that Lexington Market is now open and allowing customers inside at 50% capacity from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., THURSDAYS, FRIDAY AND SATURDAYS, effective July 30, 2020. This schedule will continue for the next month as the Markets gradually recover from the impact of COVID.
According to Robert Thomas, Executive Director, Baltimore Public Market Corporation and Lexington Market, Inc, Lexington Market is now prepared to welcome customers shopping for everything from everyday staples to specialty items with the modifications required for COVID-19.
Per current government requirements, there is currently no indoor seating at Lexington Market. Masks are required for customer entry and floor markers have been added to remind patrons to maintain proper distancing.
Customers must enter on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Eutaw Street entrance and through the door marked Herling’s on Paca Street.
Lexington joins other Baltimore Public Markets now serving Baltimore residents and visitors. Northeast Market is open Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., while Broadway Market is providing curbside service from 9 a.m. – 10 p.m. seven days each week. Cross Street Market is open for carryout at 50% capacity, outdoor dining, delivery and pickup.
