Local officials, community leaders and volunteers joined several thousand Boy Scouts at Fort McHenry to celebrate the organization's 100th anniversary. The event was touted as the largest single Boy Scouts event in the Baltimore metro area and included participants from Baltimore, Harford, Carroll, Howard and Anne Arundel counties.

Baltimore City Police Commissioner Fred Bealefeld was in attendance, along with Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, former U.S. Secretary of Defense and Eagle Scout Donald Rumsfeld and musician Aaron Tippin.
