A family reunion kept Loren and Alton Darden from coming up from Birmingham, Ala., in August for the March for Jobs and Justice. They made the trek this time because, Loren Darden said, they felt “a sense of meaning to be involved.” Alton Darden said they hoped that Congress, business and the Obama administration understand “We are tired and we won’t take it anymore. Every vote counts.”
