A summer 2012 wedding is in the works for the state of Maryland, according to the joint statement issued May 16 by Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown and Karmen Bailey Walker announcing their engagement.
“It brings us great joy to announce to our friends, family, and neighbors that we are engaged to be married. Our love and respect for each other have grown stronger each day of our relationship and we are so very excited to be taking this next step together…. we look forward to celebrating the occasion with all our friends and family.”
This is a second marriage for Brown and Walker. The lieutenant governor and his children – Rebecca, 16 and Jonathan, 10 – live in Mitchellville and Walker and her son, Anthony, 11, live in Hughesville.
