Senator Catherine E. Pugh

Dear Friend:

I am proud to announce that I will be a guest of the White House seated in the First Lady’s Box for President Barack Obama’s State of Union Address.  I have introduced the Maryland Working Families Act (Senate Bill 40), this legislation gives working families the opportunity to earn sick paid leave.  I also worked diligently in the in the state of Maryland to pass our minimum wage bill.

President Barack Obama will be addressing both of these issues in his State of the Union Address.

I am also exciting about helping to move out state forward.  I will be communicating with you more as the 2015 session continues.  Help me to help us move to higher heights.  We have a lot of work to do and can do it together.

Please join me by watching the State of the Union Address at 9 pm Tuesday, January 20, 2015.
