– Caught in the Web List Reveals State’s Biggest Tax Scofflaws –

WHAT: Comptroller Peter Franchot will unveil the state’s biggest tax cheats on Thursday at a press conference in Baltimore. These tax evaders will be listed as part of the agency’s “Caught in the Web” program which names the top individuals and businesses who owe more than $13 million in unpaid taxes, penalties and interest to the state of Maryland. The “Caught in the Web” program exposes the names of these scofflaws on the Comptroller of Maryland website for six months, until payment has been received, or until a payment plan is set up.
