Comptroller to Honor Denton PD and Talbot DES and Present Schaefer Award in Caroline County

–  Comptroller to Recognize Federalsburg Businessman and Advocate Frank Adams –

WHO:             Comptroller Peter Franchot

WHAT:          Comptroller Peter Franchot will head to the Eastern Shore today to present a proclamation to the Denton Police Department, recognizing its officers’ commitment to protect and serve the community. The Comptroller also will present a Maryland Hero’s Medallion to Police Chief Rodney Cox.

At his next stop, the Comptroller will present the 2015 William Donald Schaefer Helping People Award for Caroline County to Frank M. Adams, founder of the Federalsburg Economic Development Corporation and former president and current board member of the Federalsburg Business and Civic Association. As a driving force in the development of Federalsburg, a business and industrial park was named in his honor. Mr. Adams owns his own insurance business in Federalsburg.

Mr. Franchot will cap off his day with a stop at the Talbot County Department of Emergency Services, where he will present a proclamation honoring the men and women who provide round-the-clock emergency response and service to Interim Director Brian LeCates. Clay Stamp, director of Maryland Emergency Management and former director at Talbot DES, will attend along with other longtime, dedicated employees.
