Comptroller to Speak at Vietnam Veterans Legislative Day Ceremony

WHAT:          Comptroller Franchot will attend and give remarks Thursday at the AARP/Department of Defense Vietnam Veterans Legislative Day in Annapolis. Franchot will thank veterans for their service to our nation and discuss the importance of helping those who fight for our freedoms. The Comptroller also will take part in a Department of Defense pinning ceremony with other Vietnam War veterans to recognize their military service.

AARP Maryland is a Vietnam War 50th Commemorative Partner with the U.S. Department of Defense. The program is designed for federal, state and local communities, veterans’ organizations and other nongovernmental organizations to assist a grateful nation in thanking and honoring Vietnam veterans and their families.
