Franchot to Tour Crossland High as Principal for a Day; Present Proclamation in Oxon Hill

WHAT: Comptroller Franchot will participate Tuesday in Prince George’s County Principal for a Day Program, co-sponsored by the Prince George’s County Chamber of Commerce and the school system. The Comptroller will tour classes at Crossland High School with Principal Dr.Theresa Mosley Fax, meeting students, teachers and staff. The chamber established the program as a way to encourage businesses to see firsthand the rewards and challenges of education, as well as to build partnerships with schools and enrichment opportunities for students.
The Comptroller then will visit Desserts by Gerard in Oxon Hill and present a proclamation to Gerard Huet. The well-known, family-run bakery has been in business for more than 30 years offering quality baked goods and pastries and catering services.
