Franchot to Visit Baltimore County Diner, Italian Restaurant and Speak at Chamber Luncheon

WHO:             Comptroller Peter Franchot

WHAT:          Comptroller Franchot will visit Bel-Loc Diner Tuesday to present a proclamation to owner Bill Doxanas, recognizing his family-owned business for 52 years of delicious homemade meals and courteous service in Parkville. A Baltimore Landmark since 1964, it is the fourth diner built and operated by Doxanas’ father and his partners, named “Bel-Loc” for its location just off the Beltway on Loch Raven Boulevard.

The Comptroller then will deliver remarks at the Chesapeake Gateway Chamber of Commerce at Red Brick Station Restaurant. He will speak on the state of the regional economy and tax fraud. The Chesapeake Gateway Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in the region by reinvesting resources.

The Comptroller’s final stop will be at Squire’s Italian Restaurant, where he will present a proclamation to Bob and Lorenzo Romiti for providing authentic Italian cuisine for more than 60 years. The Romiti family’s recipes have been passed down for generations, and each meal is made from scratch with fresh ingredients.
