TOMORROW: Cardin in Baltimore to Discuss Implications of Federal Budget with Local Internationally Focused Organizations
TOMORROW, FRIDAY, December 15 at 1:00 PM, U.S. Senator Ben Cardin (D-Md.)will join leaders of the Baltimore-area non-profit organizations engaged in the international arena to discuss the effects on their work of recent federal budget decisions. Senator Cardin, the Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, will lead a roundtable conversation with groups that provide international relief and development assistance to learn more about the challenges presented by shrinking resources and shifting federal priorities. The senator also will share perspectives with participants on the countries and regions that face the most pressing needs, with an eye toward identifying the places where investments can have the maximum benefit.
