Mount Moriah Baptist Church and Hill Havurah, an independent Jewish community, are hosting “A Memorial To Lives Taken by Gun Violence” at 1636 E. Capitol St., NE on Nov. 12 from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. The event, which will address the significance of community involvement in decreasing gun violence in Ward 6, will be led by Rabbi Hannah Spiro and Senior Pastor Lucius Dalton. Attendees are encouraged to come early for the pre-program event that is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m., where guests can place the names of victims on T-shirts at the memorial. The vigil is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
