
UPRISING’ MetroStage is showcasing the Gabrielle Fulton play “UPRISING” at 1201 North Royal Street. The play is directed by Thomas W. Jones II and tells the story of a free Black community during secession-era America. “UPRISING” began on Sept. 17 and will run until Oct. 25 with performances on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sundays at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets cost $60.
