MADE in MD: Cardin to Tour Thompson Creek Window Company in Lanham

Monday, June 8 at 1:15 PM, U.S. Senator Ben Cardin (D-Md.) will tour the family owned and operated factory of Thompson Creek Window Company in Lanham, Md. and meet with the companyโ€™s leaders to exchange ideas on economic development and job creation. Thompson Creek has been manufacturing and customizing replacement windows, doors, gutters and siding in Maryland for more than three decades, and its products are designed to improve a homeโ€™s energy efficiency, value, curb appeal and comfort. The company broke ground in spring 2015 on a new $20 million, 117,000-square-foot building in Upper Marlboro, Md., that eventually will house the companyโ€™s manufacturing and warehouse operation, and will allow the company to make 150 new hires atop its existing 330 full-time employees. Part of Senator Cardinโ€™s ongoing โ€œMade in MDโ€ jobs tour that highlights the diversity of Maryland products and the companies that create them, Mondayโ€™s tour will showcase the companyโ€™s commitment to innovation and Prince Georgeโ€™s Countyโ€™s business-friendly environment.
