Several reports have surfaced in the sudden death of actor Gary Coleman, 42, at his Utah home.

According to records discovered by TMZ, Coleman and ex-wife Shannon Price divorced in 2007, unbeknownst to many of the couples’ friends and relatives.

According to court documents obtained by the Web site, the cause of divorce was listed as “irreconcilable differences.”

However, Coleman granted his former wife the right to make decisions about his health if he became ill. Several days after his hospitalization, Price requested he be removed from life support.

“Mr. Coleman had completed an Advanced Health Care Directive that granted Shannon Price permission to make medical decisions on his behalf if he was unable to do so,” Utah Valley Regional Medical Center told E! Online. “An Advanced Health Care Directive remains in effect regardless of a patient’s marital status.”

In her call to 911, Price was hesitant to check on the former child star, who allegedly fell in the home. “I’m gagging. I’ve got blood on myself. I can’t deal,” Price told the 911 operator.

A Utah Valley Regional Medical Center spokeswoman confirmed with RadarOnline.com that the official cause of Coleman’s death was being investigated.

Earlier this week, Coleman’s estranged parents told People.com they were seeking more answers surrounding their son’s unexpected death.

“We’re not pointing fingers at anyone, but we need to know exactly what happened,” said Coleman’s mother, Sue Coleman. “We’re not angry. We’re just concerned. Did our son fall down the stairs? Did he fall in the bathtub? We need to have some closure on our son’s life.”
