Former Morgan State tight end Lamont Bryant was signed by the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent shortly after he was passed up in all seven rounds of the NFL draft held from April 26 to April 28.

According to reports, the 6-foot, 5-inch, 225-pound tight end was the second of 12 other undrafted players that the Ravens pounced on following the conclusion of the draft.

Bryant leapt on to pro scoutsโ€™ radars after making a big impression at the Morgan State University Pro Day in March. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.45 seconds, and bench-pressed 225 pounds 19 times. Bryant also led Morgan State with 21 catches for 371 yards and two touchdowns during the 2011 season, earning All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference First-Team honors.

โ€œItโ€™s a dream come true,โ€ Bryant told Baltimore sports talk radio station WNST. โ€œWhat Iโ€™m going to do from day one is show them that it was a great thing picking me up.โ€
