On Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., The Music Policy Forum, Listen Local First and Georgetown University will be hosting their Building the Music Capital conference. The conference will include a discussion with music performers, educators, cultural advocates, entrepreneurs and policymakers that will “share their perspectives on how the D.C. music scene stacks up; and what steps can be taken to develop and enact strategies, policies and businesses that will enhance and support the capital’s critical musicinfrastructure.” The event is free to the public, and those who RSVP will receive a free lunch.
