The countdown to early voting has begun. Election Day on Nov. 3 is around the corner, but there’s still time to make informed decisions for the offices on the ballot.

As for the Baltimore Mayoral Election, the NAACP and the AFRO are hosting a virtual forum, 7 p.m., Oct. 22,  with mayoral candidates; Brandon Scott, Democrat; Bob Wallace, Independent and Shannon Wright, Republican.

“It’s our responsibility as a media company to get the information out to as many people as possible, in as many ways as possible,” said Dr. Frances “Toni” Draper, AFRO CEO and publisher. “Our subscribers and members have come to expect that from us.”

Dr. Draper will moderate the event along with NAACP Vice President Joshua Harris, who has been most responsible for its presentation.

“Having options is great, but only if voters are fully informed about each of them,” Harris said. “That’s our goal.”
