Daniels’ attorney Melvin Kodenski told the board the new restaurant would have “basically the same menu” as the Randallstown branch’s which features dishes such as shrimp and grits, chicken Alfredo, ribs and a variety of salads and sandwiches.

The new Baltimore eatery will employ about 30 workers and seat about 166 diners.

Daniels said the surrounding community groups seem to be supportive of his new venture.

“A lot of people in the community have already visited my previous restaurant that I have, so they seem to be very excited for us to come into the neighborhood,” he said.
