Thirteen-year-old Jawan Harris is a bright singer and dancer on the rise. With a charming “boy- next-door” demeanor and vocal styling that draws comparisons to a young Michael Jackson, Jawan’s voice rings clear in an industry riddled with overtly sexual imagery.

The Chicago native first showed interest in music at age 3 and got his start singing in church. Influenced by gospel greats like Karen Clark-Sheard and J. Moss, Jawan cites Usher and Chris Brown as additional influences.

Like fellow teen singer Justin Bieber, Jawan’s found a following on YouTube and videos of him singing and dancing went “viral.” The popular clips led Jawan to a chance meeting with record executives in New York and he was signed to ByStorm/Jive Records by CEO Marks Pitts. He now joins Jive with his inspirations, Chris Brown and Usher.

Jawan is now prepared to release his first single, “Nobody,” an upbeat track chronicling a school crush. In addition, he has teamed with Brown for “Another Planet,” which features his edgier side.
