The No. 3 seed Georgetown Hoyas fell in a shocking upset to No. 14 seed Ohio University, 97-83, in the first round of the NCAA tournament’s Midwest regional in Providence, R.I. on March 18.

Georgetown guard Chris Wright scored a team-high 28 points, followed by forward Greg Monroe with 19 points.

But Georgetown could not stop Ohio star Armon Bassett’s, who scored a game-high 32 points. D.J Cooper added 23 points and went 8-for-12 from the floor, while teammate DeVaughn Washington recorded a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Ohio will face No. 6 seed Tennessee in a second round game on Saturday.
