The Baltimore City Fire Department (BCFD) and the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) continue to investigate several fires that occurred in the Edmondson Village community of Southwest Baltimore in the early morning hours of July 29.  

Fire crews battled reported fires in the 500 block of Wildwood Parkway, the 500 block of Lyndhurst Street, the 600 block of Mount Holly Street, and on West Franklin Street all around 2 a.m.

The BCFD and BPD were at the scene of these incidents into the afternoon hours and had several streets blocked off for most of the day. 

Fire officials say no injuries were reported as a result of the fires.

At this time, reports of additional subsequent fires are unsubstantiated. There has been no official conclusion that the fires in Edmondson Village are connected.
