Kevin Durant scored a team-high 24 points as the Oklahoma City Thunder held off the Dallas Mavericks, 106-100, in game two of the NBA Western Conference Finals to tie the series, 1-1 May 19.

Durant, a Washington, D.C. native, didn’t get the job done alone. Oklahoma City coach Scott Brooks played his backups nearly the entire fourth quarter and the bench led the way to the series-tying victory. Thunder guard James Harden led all reserve players with 23 points, and guard Eric Maynor added 13 points off the bench. Oklahoma Cityโ€™s bench outscored the Dallas reserves, 50-29.

โ€œTheir reserves came out swinging and really took it to us,โ€ said Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki, who finished with 29 points. โ€œWe were never really ready for their reserves.โ€

Game Three of the Western Conference Final will tip off on Saturday, May 21.
