Prince George’s County Police are on the lookout for a pair of suspects after two women in different parts of the county were sexually assaulted last week.

One incident took place in Chillum Heights. Police say the suspect entered an apartment in the 400 block of Greenlawn Drive at about 6 a.m. The suspect was armed and wore dark clothing and a black ski mask.

The other incident was in Suitland on March 21. A realtor was previewing a home in the 2300 block of Dupont Avenue where the suspect entered, grabbed the victim and began to sexually assault her. The woman fought the man off and he fled the scene.

The suspect in this case is described as a 6-foot-1, 25-35-year-old Black male who was wearing a black or blue T-shirt and dark sneakers.

There have been no arrests in either case.

Last fall, two women were attacked as they walked to the Suitland Metro Station.

The first victim was approached by the suspect at 5:30 a.m. on Sept. 27 as he brandished a weapon and grabbed her by the arm. The assailant walked the woman across the street and behind an abandoned building where he sexually assaulted her.

The second incident happened a week later on Oct. 4. At 6:45 a.m. According to police the man approached the woman in the same manner as the previous incident. However, the woman fought her attacker off before he was able to take her across the street and ran away.

Philip James Fleming was arrested and charged with first degree rape, robbery, assault and several handgun charges. His court date is schedule for May 3.

Earlier this year, Kevin Darnell Ray was arrested as a suspect in a Jan. 13 home invasion and sexual assault in Temple Hills. In that case, Ray is accused of following a woman into her house in the 2500 block of Berkley Street, after she went out to warm up her car. Once inside the other occupants in the home were tied up and the victim was taken into a separate room and sexually assaulted.

Police say Ray also was identified as a suspect in similar incidents which occurred in Montgomery County.

Police say in cases like these it is best for citizens to be mindful of their surroundings, always walk in well-lit areas, and travel in groups whenever possible.

They also ask that people report any suspicious activity they may see.
