Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey may play a role in the coming of the Antichrist—at least, according to Mike Bickle, founder and executive director of the radical and controversial International House of Prayer.
A video of Bickle comparing Oprah to the Antichrist was uncovered earlier this week by the People for the American Way Right Wing Watch, an organization that monitors activities of religious and radical right-wing political groups and organizations.
In the undated video that aired on GOD TV, Bickle discusses the End Times, claiming that Oprah will be one of the main players of the “Harlot Babylon,” which he says is the precursor signaling the coming of the Antichrist.
The Kansas City preacher asserts that Christians and humanitarian activists will work with the TV star in projects to create a world religion based on tolerance “that will ultimately be used by the Antichrist to take global power and introduce demon-worship,” writes the People for the American Way Right Wing Watch on their website.
“The Harlot Babylon is preparing the nations to receive the Antichrist. The Harlot Babylon will be a religion of affirmation, toleration, no absolutes, a counterfeit justice movement,” Bickle says in the video. “They will feed the poor, have humanitarian projects, and inspire acts of compassion for all the wrong reasons. They won’t know it, beloved they will be sincere, many of them, but their sincerity will not in any way lessen the impact of their deception. The fact that they are sincere does not make their deception less damaging.”
“I believe that one of the main pastors, as a forerunner to the Harlot movement, it’s not the Harlot movement yet, is Oprah,” he adds. “She is winsome, she is kind, she is reasonable, she is utterly deceived, utterly deceived. A classy woman, a cool woman, a charming woman, but has a spirit of deception and she is one of the clear pastors, forerunners to the Harlot movement.”
Oprah isn’t the first public figure to be accused of being evil and involved with demonic powers.
According to The Huffington Post, others who have been associated with the Antichrist include Pope Benedict XVI, President Barack Obama and even Steven Spielberg.
