Makeba Riddick, a Grammy-nominated songwriter and vocal producer, has returned to the top of music chart with new collaborations and up-tempo dance tracks. Riddick has worked with leading artists like Beyoncé, Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez and her latest hits, “Rude Boy” and “Acapella” are quickly burning up music charts.
“Acapella,” sung by Kelis, hit claimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard dance charts and is receiving major radio play in Europe. The song will appear on Kelis’ upcoming album Flesh Tones.
Riddick is also enjoying the success of her collaboration with David Guetta on “If We Ever,” her first single as a writer and solo artist. The song is part of Guetta’s Grammy-nominated CD One Love.
Riddick is preparing for the release of her next solo single, “Change Up,” which is the lead single produced by Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins’ CD The WritersProject Vol. 1. The CD will feature popular songwriters performing their own material and is slated for release later this year.
Riddick is also working with Darkchild to create new material for Diddy’s upcoming CD Last Train To Paris.
