Rapper Meek Mill had the Twitter world in a frenzy on July 21 with some words about fellow rapper Drake.
Mill tweeted, “Stop comparing Drake to me too…. He don’t write his own raps. That’s why he ain’t tweet my album because we found out.”
Drake recently released an unexpected album, “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late,” which sold 535,000 copies in its first week and eventually went platinum, selling more than one million copies.
Mill just released his second album, entitled “Dreams Worth More Than Money,” which includes a song, “R.I.C.C.O,” featuring Drake.
Regarding the song with Drake, Mill tweeted “He ain’t even write that verse on my album and if I woulda knew I woulda took it off my album….I don’t trick my fans. Lol.”
Mill went so far as to give the name of the “ghostwriter” that writes tracks for Drake, Quentin Miller.
Drake’s producer, Noah “40” Shebib, defended Drake on Twitter, writing: “No one is as talented as Drake … countless number ones and songs drake has written for others never mind himself.”
Mill is currently in a relationship with Nicki Minaj, who is under the same label as Drake, Young Money Records.
According to TMZ, during a performance in Virginia on July 22, Mill gave a public apology to Minaj for bashing Drake.
