Add this to the list of Halloween costumes gone too far: A man recently attended a Halloween party dressed up as Ray Rice, while dragging around a blow up doll, meant to represent Rice’s wife Janay Palmer Rice.
The costume was a reference to a video that went viral last month that shows Rice knocking his wife unconscious and then dragging her out of an Atlantic City elevator like a ragdoll.
Actress Rose McGowan was not amused by the costume choice. “I think people are tacky tacky,” McGowan told TMZ in reference to people who chose to wear Rice costumes. “Those people are what I like to call repulsive.”
The Huffington Post added its censure in a headline that read: “For the love of God, people, do not dress up as Ray Rice for Halloween.”
A friend of the man released the picture of his costume on Reddit.com. The wearer wishes to remain anonymous and has not revealed himself yet.
Rice, a former Super Bowl-winning running back with the Baltimore Ravens, is currently appealing the NFL’s decision banning him from the League.
