Greater Chesapeake Hand Specialists and the students of Ridgely Middle School in Lutherville, Md., have formed a partnership aimed at collecting thousands of pairs of gloves and mittens to benefit needy families and individuals throughout the central Maryland region. The “Warm Hearts = Warm Hands” campaign is now underway and is searching for new or gently-used items appropriate for adults and children of all ages. Starting in mid-November, the gloves and mittens will be delivered to the Assistance Center of Towson Churches, Eastern Family Resource Center, Our Daily Bread and Villa Maria Center at St. Vincent’s.

Persons interested in contributing are asked to bind the matching items together and bring them to Ridgely Middle School, located at 121 East Ridgely Road in Lutherville or Greater Chesapeake Hand, located at 1400 Front Ave., in Lutherville. Satellite offices of Chesapeake Hand, positioned throughout Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Howard and Talbot counties are also accepting donations.
