Comptroller to Speak at Baltimore Economic Forum, Visit Gough Park and Talk to NCHS Students
– Comptroller to Encourage Students to Become Financially Literate –

WHAT: Comptroller Franchot will speak to members of the Greater Baltimore Economic Forum (GBEF) at their breakfast meeting Wednesday morning. The Comptroller will focus on Maryland’s economy and economic development throughout the state. The GBEF was formed in 1987 by Robert E. Latshaw to discuss economic development and revitalization.
Mr. Franchot then will travel to Perry Hall and take a walking tour of Gough Park. As a member of the Board of Public Works, the Comptroller will see the park’s developments as a result of more than $3.5 million in Program Open Space funding. He will walk with Baltimore County Recreation and Parks Planner Patrick McDougall and Bryan Sheppard, special assistant to Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz.
The Comptroller then will visit North County High School for a brief tour and to address an assembly of IT3 (International Trade, Transportation and Tourism), marketing, leadership, STEM and U.S. government students. The Comptroller will talk about the importance of being financially literate and to seek additional education following high school.
