Edwards to Host Job Fair Preparation Workshop
Washington, D.C. – Today,
Tuesday, August 12, 2014, Congresswoman Donna F. Edwards (MD-4) will host a Job Fair Preparation Workshop ahead of the 2014 Job Fair on
August 28, 2014. All, including students and young adults, are invited to participate in sessions on winning strategies for targeted resumes and cover letters, interview techniques, and addressing challenges to get noticed in today’s competitive job market. The workshop helps job seekers find good-paying middle class jobs that are the key to economic security for millions of families across the county, and a pillar of the “
Middle Class Jumpstart: A 100 Day Action Plan to Put the Middle Class First.”
Congresswoman Edwards will offer additional workshops for job seekers on August 14, 19, and 21, 2014.The job fair will host over 70 employers, from national and local businesses; federal, state and county government; unions, and nonprofit organizations. Job seekers will also learn about ongoing training and skill enhancement services, and are requested to bring numerous copies of their resume.
