Comptroller Franchot to Present Proclamations to Two Harford County Eateries; Recognize Aberdeen PD

WHAT: Comptroller Franchot will present three proclamations today in Aberdeen and Bel Air. Starting at Mamie’s Café with Love in Aberdeen, the Comptroller will present a proclamation to owner Brenda Weber recognizing the restaurant’s success and commitment to the community. The family-owned and operated café has been serving homemade fare with friendly service since 2007.
In the afternoon, the Comptroller will stop by the Aberdeen Police Department where he will meet with Police Chief Henry Trabert and his officers and present a proclamation honoring the department for its longtime commitment of service to the community. The department’s Patrol Division is staffed by 24 officers overseen by a lieutenant.
The Comptroller then will travel to Bel Air to the Vagabond Sandwich Company where he will present a proclamation to owner Ben Meyer and his staff recognizing the eatery’s popularity and its one-of-a-kind breakfast and lunch sandwiches, tasty tortilla wraps and salads. Mr. Meyer has worked in the restaurant industry for more than 25 years.
