Comptroller to Help Cut Ribbon at Bethesda Bank Branch; Catch a Few Innings at Dulaney High

WHAT: Comptroller Franchot will join banking, business and elected leaders in a grand opening ceremony this morning of the Sandy Spring Bank-Bethesda Branch. Sandy Spring has a network of 43 community offices in the greater Washington, D.C. area, including Montgomery, Howard, Frederick, Carroll, Anne Arundel and Prince George’s counties in Maryland. Mr. Franchot will be joined by President and CEO Dan Schrider, Chairman-Elect of the Baltimore-Chevy Chase Chamber of Commerce Heather Dlhopolsky and Executive Vice President of Commercial and Retail Banking Jay O’Brien as well as other bank officials.
In the afternoon with weather permitting, the Comptroller will catch a few innings between Dulaney High and Towson High at Dulaney field in Timonium. The Comptroller will talk with Dulaney’s Athletic Director Richard Reed and Head Coach Ryan Wolfsheimer and Towson’s Head Coach Brad Eastham as well as members of both teams and their parents.
