Comptroller to Take Fall Stroll at JFX Farmers Market and Bazaar in Baltimore

– Comptroller to Have Choice of Pumpkins, Gourds, Fall Vegetables and Fruits –

WHO:             Comptroller Peter Franchot

WHAT:          Comptroller Franchot will enjoy the crisp fall morning air as he visits the JFX Farmers Market and Bazaar Sunday to enjoy the autumn harvest of orange and white pumpkins, gourds of all types, colors and sizes and fruit like apples from local orchards and the fall bounty of kale, cabbages, broccoli and collard greens.

While there, the Comptroller will talk with shoppers who make the market their regular Sunday stop to buy poultry, seafood, beef, pork, lamb, bison, goat, rabbit, flavorful herbs, baked goods and organically raised and produced milk, yogurt, butter, eggs and cheeses. To quell an empty stomach, visitors also can make selections from a multicultural cuisine including omelets and breakfast burritos, crepes, pit beef sandwiches, wood-fired pizzas, pies, quiches, soups, noodles and dumplings as well as vegan fare. The market is open from 7 a.m. to noon each Sunday through December 21.
