Franchot to Speak at Innovation Center Grand Opening in Cambridge, Attend Business Roundtable in Salisbury

WHAT: Comptroller Franchot will speak this morning at the grand opening of the Eastern Shore Innovation Center in Cambridge. The event celebrates the completion of the new 13,500-square-foot economic incubator designed to spur sustainable economic vitality in the region through high-growth entrepreneurship and innovative practices. The $2.4 million project was funded by the Maryland Department of Commerce, the Maryland Technology Development Corporation and Dorchester County.
Franchot then will attend the Greater Salisbury Committee’s Business Roundtable. Founded in 1967, the committee includes business, educational, institutional and nonprofit leaders dedicated to identifying the community’s needs and offering solutions. The Comptroller will discuss Maryland’s economic and fiscal climate, the agency’s initiatives and the importance of the poultry industry and wind energy to the Lower Shore.
