Franchot to Visit Cohen Clothiers, Towson Diner
Comptroller to Honor Business Owners for Contributions to the Community

WHO:             Comptroller Peter Franchot

WHAT:          Comptroller Franchot will spend the morning in Baltimore County today, beginning with a trip to Cohen Clothiers in Cockeysville to meet with owner Gilbert Cohen, his staff and patrons. The Comptroller will present Cohen with a proclamation recognizing the business’ service to the community for more than 100 years. The family-owned store opened in 1904 and offers custom tailoring, formal apparel, sportswear and footwear.

The Comptroller then will pay a visit to Towson Diner, a local landmark since 1957. The classic Greek-American diner was purchased in 1994 by father and son, Sam and Nick Kourtsounis, who will receive a proclamation for their success.
