Baltimore City Council President Brandon Scott has reported that under his presidency, the City Council has come in $1 million under budget for fiscal year 2020.

“After an unexpected transition, ransomware attack, and other unforeseen circumstances, I’m proud that we can still be responsible with our resources and find savings in our budget,” said Council President Scott.

This news comes as the Council President and the City Council cut $22.4 million from the proposed budget for Fiscal Year 21.

“It’s important that Baltimoreans know where their money is going. I look forward to continuing to build a more transparent and accountable government that eliminates overspending and prioritizes the needs of our residents.”
