Singer Alicia Keys Expecting First Child

Grammy Award-winning R&B Singer Alicia Keys is expecting her first child, according to the Associated Press.

Keys is dating producer Swizz Beats, who has worked with Beyonce, Jay-Z and many others. They are reportedly engaged to be married later this year. Spokespersons for the couple confirmed Keys’ pregnancy on May 27.

In 2009, Keys’ album “Element of Freedom” debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Charts and went platinum within its first month of release. It has currently sold over 1 million copies in the U.S.

Keys is among many international artists scheduled to perform at the World Cup soccer tournament, which begins in South Africa on June 10.
