My Sister’s Place, 1436 U Street, NW, is scheduled to host the Clothesline Project on Oct. 13th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The free event is an open-art exhibition of more than 200 t-shirts created by survivors and the kids of those who survived from domestic violence and abuse and still prevail with hope and courage. Music will be provided by local artist, DJ Kryptk. Refreshments will be provided as well. During the project, survivors will tell their stories while artistically expressing their own experiences through shirts, which are then displayed on clotheslines for awareness.  For more information, contact at tharvey@mysistersplacedc.org.
