First lady of the Republic of South Africa, Bonji Ngema, (right) presents artwork of wart hogs from her country as a gift to Dr. Gail Nunlee Bland, director of the Howard University Hospital Diabetes Treatment Center, during a recent visit to the school.  The first lady, in Washington with her husband, President Jacob Zuma, as part of President Barack Obama’s Nuclear Summit, has a special interest in diabetes research.
