Black clergy, lawmakers and civil rights leaders share one message at PNBC Conference: Get out the vote 

Leaders at the Progressive National Baptist Convention’s 65th annual session urged churches to mobilize voters ahead of the November 2026 midterm elections, framing civic engagement as a core part of their faith and social justice mission. Members of the Congressional Black Caucus, civil rights leaders and clergy called for voter registration, early voting and turnout efforts while warning that proposed voting restrictions and political challenges require an organized response from Black churches.
