Black service members have long played a pivotal role in shaping American history, from fighting overseas to advancing civil rights at home. Veterans such as Amzie Moore, Golden Asro Frinks and the all-Black 555th Parachute Infantry Company helped break barriers and inspire lasting change both in the military and society.
