Target, The Heart of America Foundation and HGTV designer Sabrina Soto are supporting the military in addition to their ongoing education initiatives by unveiling a completely renovated school library and Teachers’ Resource Room at Manor View. The renovation includes redesigned spaces, new technology, art and books for the school and even books for students to take home with them.

Students will also be celebrating with military families in the community as well as with deployed parents overseas via a live video chat presentation.

The efforts at Fort Meade are one part of a larger Veterans Day program by Target and The Mission Continues that includes 11 events at schools in military communities nationwide.

Target’s School Library Makeovers program will renovate 32 schools nationwide in 2010 and is a just small part of their commitment to education. Target plans to donate $500 million to educations with programs such as these by 2015.
