The Consortium of Afro Latino Communities is an educational and politically cultural event that aims to highlight, promote, and expose the African roots and heritage of Latino people & culture.

An expansive and inclusive Black History Month event, this event aims to help build bridges between the African American and Latino communities, and help to open a dialog between Diasporic cousins.

The event, 6 p.m., Feb. 7, will encompass a Powerpoint lecture, brief panel discussion, followed by a book signing by participating authors on the panel. The consortium will be held at Baltimore City Community College-Liberty Campus, located at 2901 Liberty Heights Avenue in Baltimore.
