COLLEGE SAVINGS DAY CELEBRATION

On Saturday, May 31, the Zoo will host a “College Savings Day Celebration.” The first 529 children to enter the Zoo will pay a special price of only $5.29 for admission, which is more than half off regular child’s admission, thanks to the folks at the College Savings Plans of Maryland. Representatives of the College Savings Plans of Maryland will be onsite to answer questions about saving for college using their two flexible 529 plans: the Maryland Prepaid College Trust and the Maryland College Investment Plan.
INTERNATIONAL UNGULATE DAY

What’s an ungulate you ask? The term ungulate applies to a wide variety of hoofed mammals like rhino, zebra, okapi and antelope. Visit to learn about the wide variety of graceful grazers here at the Zoo! Guests will have the chance to see enrichment demos, ask the keepers questions and participate in themed activities.
WORLD GIRAFFE DAY

Who doesn’t love giraffes? Come and learn all about these tall gentle creatures. Guests will have the chance to see enrichment demos, ask the keepers questions and participate in themed activities. We will also be kicking off the 2014 Get To Know Art Contest during this event.
