AFRONewsHeading1

For this Christmas Eve we’re revisiting some of our favorite segments from the past few weeks. We begin with our conversation on the generational divide within the civil rights movement, manifesting specifically in the Black Lives Matter movement made evident during the recent National Action Network march in Washington, D.C. We’ll also revisit our recent conversation with playwright Kemp Powers about his debut effort, “One Night in Miami,” a fictionalized account of a real-life meeting in 1964 between Muhammad Ali, Malcolm X, Sam Cooke and Jim Brown. It’s all coming up on a Christmas Eve edition of  AFRO’s First Edition with Sean Yoes.
