The biopic, “Straight Outta Compton,” about the mercurial journey of the seminal “gangsta rap” super group, “NWA,” has shattered box office records since it’s debut nationwide earlier this month. But, the glaring omission of Dr. Dre’s infamous history of beating up women has sparked a firestorm of controversy on social media and beyond. We’ll devote the first hour to the issues of domestic violence and misogyny in Hip Hop music in wake of the record shattering opening of Straight Outta Compton.
