Tyrone Taborn will join the volunteer board of directors of The MPT Foundation, the fundraising affiliate of Maryland Public Television (MPT). The Foundation is comprised of approximately 24 members from a range of different Maryland businesses, civic organizations and cultural communities. Taborn, who is publisher and chairman of Career Communications Group (CCG), is founder of the Foundation for Educational Development, which aims to raise technology literacy in minority communities through initiatives such as Black Family Technology Awareness Week, La Familia Technology Awareness Week, and the Native American Family Technology Journey.
