Around 11 a.m. Sept. 22, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder arrived at the John A. Wilson Building, where he met with City Council Chairman Vincent Gray to offer official “congratulations” and support from the Obama administration after his win in last week’s Democratic mayoral primary.
“I want to congratulate our presumptive mayor and talk about how the Obama administration is committed to making sure we do all we can with regard to public safety and continue what I think is a good relationship between the administration and the city government,” Holder said, according to a Washington Post report.
